So, you might want to check out IFTTT’s privacy policy – before uploading private or sensitive information.Next on our workflow list of capturing options for OmniFocus for iPad, is via the iOS app DEVONthink To Go. Take your document out of the Mail app and into DEVONthink To Go. Plus, it’s also an alternative to not using an outside server or depend on Internet connection like our first and second options.Adding a task from DEVONthink TO GO: how it works Then simply add a new task to OmniFocus from inside the app from the documents in its database.I’ve found this workflow to be a great solution for keeping reference documents for my tasks close-by. The funny thing is… it required the use of my Mac powered-up at home. The OmniFocus Folder Action ScriptA quick thought before moving on to the 4th and last option: “ This workflow turned out to be the closest thing to replacing my Mac email capturing workflow. After selecting this option, a new inbox item is made and automatically labeled with the document’s name, (linked from the DEVONthink To Go database) in Omnifocus.Side note: Expect more post on DEVONthink TO Go in the future. Select your document in the database, and then look for the option that says, “Add Task To OmniFocus.” And the Dropbox iOS app installed on your iPad. Have an account to the Omni Group’s Omni Sync Server, (if not already). OmniFocus for Mac installed on your computer. The Omni Sync Server will update the OmniFocus for iPad app. Once the script is activated (on the Mac) and the file is sent to OmniFocus. Open a file attachment inside the Dropbox folder, with the folder action. And any document sent there, should be sent to the OmniFocus inbox on the Mac. If all was done correctly – you should have a folder in Dropbox assigned to this folder action script. ![]()
